RPM Series to Open up Season at PBIR

Racers of the NHRA Existent Pro Modern (RPM) series officially begin their 2022 campaign Mar. 17-twenty, as part of the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida, but will be visiting the Sunshine State later this month for their showtime competitive outing of the twelvemonth.

Following iv days of testing opportunities (Feb. 22-25) at Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR), the Bennett Auto Supply RPM and Sportsman Southern Showcase (Feb. 26-28) will feature two days of qualifying with eliminations set for Sunday on the PBIR quarter mile.

Amid the RPM stars expected to nourish are teammates Danny Rowe and Steve Matusek, the father-and-son team of Jim and Steven Whiteley (above), former class champion Troy Coughlin and son T.J., Canadian Kenny Lang and Florida native Kevin Fiscus, among many others.

Several PDRA eighth-mile competitors are expected to be on hand for the test sessions too, making for an first-class calendar week-long preview of fast doorslammer action.

Friday will feature RPM qualifying sessions at six p.m. and 7:30 p.chiliad., with adult admission set at $20 for the day and kids from $5 to $10, based on age. Ii more qualifying rounds will follow at noon and iii p.chiliad. on Saturday, with adult admission set at $25, and Sunday'southward emptying rounds set up to brainstorm at xi a.yard., once again with adult access at $25, though $60 will purchase a iii-day pass.
